RI Awarded $1.5M for defense manufacturing initiative

PROVIDENCE, RI – Governor Lincoln D. Chafee, Rhode Island’s Congressional delegation and the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation (Commerce RI) today that Rhode Island has been awarded a $1.575-million grant from the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA) to develop a model for expanding the state’s defense manufacturing base.
